Questions & Answers about ผม ไม่ แน่ใจ ว่า จะ คาดการณ์ ราคา ได้ หรือเปล่า ครับ

Why do we use ว่า and หรือเปล่า together here if ว่า means "that" and หรือเปล่า means "or not"?
This is how Thai forms "whether or not" clauses. ว่า acts as a linking word introducing the sub-clause, and putting หรือเปล่า at the end turns it into an indirect yes/no question. So, แน่ใจว่า...หรือเปล่า translates perfectly to "sure whether... or not".
I know the word เดา for "guess". How is คาดการณ์ different?
เดา is a simple, everyday "guess", which can be completely random. คาดการณ์ is more formal and analytical, translating closer to "forecast," "project," or "predict." You'll see it used for business, economics, and prices, as it implies making an educated estimate based on data.
Why is ได้ placed after ราคา (price) instead of directly after the verb คาดการณ์?
In Thai, the capability word ได้ (can / to be able to) must be placed at the end of the verb phrase. Because ราคา is the direct object of คาดการณ์, ได้ has to follow the object. The structure is always [Verb] + [Object] + [ได้].
Why isn't there a pronoun after ว่า to show who is forecasting the price?
Thai frequently drops pronouns when the context makes it obvious. Since the speaker just said ผมไม่แน่ใจ (I am not sure), it's naturally understood that he is also the one trying to forecast the price. Adding ผม again after ว่า wouldn't be grammatically wrong, but it sounds slightly unnatural and repetitive to a native speaker.
