Keep doing it (เข้าไว้)

When coaching someone through an intense experience—like the stages of labor in a delivery room—you will need specific vocabulary to describe the physical situation before offering encouragement.

Persisting with เข้าไว้

When you need to encourage someone to maintain a continuous action or emotional state, use the persistence frame เข้าไว้. By placing เข้าไว้ immediately after an action verb or a stative verb (adjective), you create a strong exhortation meaning "keep doing it" or "keep being it."

For example, during labor, a nurse or partner will use this pattern to urge the mother to keep pushing (เบ่ง).

This frame works equally well with states of mind or emotion, such as telling someone to keep being strong (เข้มแข็ง) or to keep enduring (อดทน).

Offering Reassurance

You can easily pair the เข้าไว้ exhortation with phrases of physical or emotional reassurance, such as promising to dab (ซับ) their sweat or reminding them that it will only take "just one more moment" (อีกอึดใจเดียว).
