Evidential Deduction (เห็นทีจะ)
When current circumstances point toward a negative outcome, use the modal เห็นทีจะ (it looks as if / I'm afraid that) to express a deduction or worried expectation about the immediate future. This phrase is placed directly before a verb phrase.
It is heavily used when discussing logistical setbacks, such as when it appears a plan is about to ล่ม (fall through) or when you must cancel an event because the situation is สุดวิสัย (beyond control).
| It looks as if our travel plan has fallen through. | แผนการเดินทาง ของ เรา เห็นทีจะ ล่ม แล้ว ครับ |
| If it is a matter beyond control, I'm afraid we have to cancel the party. | ถ้า เป็น เรื่อง สุดวิสัย เห็นทีจะ ต้อง ยกเลิก งานเลี้ยง ค่ะ |
Off Schedule and Last Minute
Setbacks often occur due to poor timing. A schedule might become คลาดเคลื่อน (off schedule / deviated) if an event is planned too กระชั้นชิด (at the last minute / imminent).

When tasks are done ฉุกละหุก (hurriedly / unexpectedly), you can pair these situations with เห็นทีจะ to express your fear that a deadline will be missed or an appointment must be canceled.

Chaos and Difficult Decisions
When plans fail completely, it can cause secondary problems, like passengers being ตกค้าง (stranded) and the environment becoming โกลาหล (chaotic).

During the aftermath of a major setback, people might have to navigate the situation อย่าง ทุลักทุเล (with great difficulty). Eventually, if the problems become insurmountable, they may simply decide to เลิกล้ม (abandon / give up) the plan entirely.
