Why is the verb spelled mueve instead of "move"?
The dictionary form of "to move" is mover. However, it is a stem-changing verb. In the present tense, the o in the middle changes to ue for most forms, including the "he/she/it" form used for el niño. That makes it mueve.
Does the o in mover change to ue for every person?
Not for all of them! Stem-changing verbs like mover change in all present tense forms except for nosotros (we) and vosotros (you all). So while "he moves" is mueve, "we move" keeps the original vowel and becomes movemos.
Can I use mueve to say someone is moving to a new house?
No, mover is only used for physically moving an object, like la silla (the chair), or moving a part of your body. To say you are moving to a new house or city, you must use a different verb: mudarse.
