Why is "with you" written as contigo instead of con tú?

In Spanish, when you combine con (with) and the informal "you", they merge into a single special word: contigo. You will never see "con tú". As a bonus, "with me" does the same thing to become conmigo.

Where is the word for "do" in this question?
