You already know how to use **gustar** (to be pleasing to). Luckily, a whole group of useful Spanish verbs follows the exact same pattern! Instead of changing to match the person, these verbs change to match the thing causing the feeling.

### Loving Things with "Encantar"

To say you strongly like or "love" a thing or activity, use **encantar**. Just like with **gustar**, use **encanta** for singular nouns and **encantan** for plural nouns.

### Expressing Pain with "Doler"

To say something hurts, use the verb **doler**. Think of it as "to be painful to." The body part that hurts is the subject, so you will use **duele** for one body part and **duelen** for multiple.

Notice that in Spanish, we use the definite article (**el**, **la**, **los**, **las**) with body parts, not possessive words like "my" or "your". The pronoun (**me**, **te**, etc.) already tells us whose body part is hurting!
