### Making Things Massive with "-azo"

In Spanish, you can emphasize the huge size or intensity of a noun by adding an evaluative suffix instead of using a separate adjective. 

To say something is massive or to describe a heavy hit, drop the noun's final vowel (if it has one) and add the suffix *-azo*. For example, *un premio* (a prize) becomes *un premiazo* (a massive jackpot).

### Expressing Poor Quality with "-ucho"

When you want to describe a place as run-down, cheap, or sketchy, use the pejorative (derogatory) suffix *-ucho* (or *-ucha* for feminine nouns). 

Adding this to *bar* gives you *un barucho* (a cheap bar), immediately painting a picture of a less-than-glamorous location.

### Huge Amounts and Bets with "-ón"

Another very common augmentative suffix is *-ón*. It also expresses that something is huge or intense. 

When you add *-ón* to a feminine noun, the new "huge" version often becomes masculine. For example, *la apuesta* (the bet) becomes *el apuestón* (the huge bet).
