Why do we use поэтому here instead of потому что?
Поэтому means so or therefore, and it introduces the result. Потому что means because, and it introduces the reason. If we flipped the sentence order, we would use потому что: Мы не можем ехать на море, потому что у нас нет машины (We cannot go to the sea because we do not have a car).
Why is the word for car машины instead of машина?
