### Whole and complete

**Întreg** (whole, entire) normally follows the noun: *o săptămână întreagă* (a whole week), *familia întreagă* (the whole family). Its forms are *întreg, întreagă, întregi*.

### My own: propriu

Before the noun, **propriu** takes the definite article and agrees: *propriul meu birou*, *propria mea afacere*, *propria cameră*. After the noun it has no article, as in the fixed phrase *pe cont propriu* (on your own account, self-employed).

### Special and general

**Special** and **general** look like their English twins and agree regularly: *o zi specială*, *o regulă generală*. A *director general* runs the whole company.

### Narrow, slow, soft

**Îngust** (narrow) has the plural *înguști*. **Lent** is slow and steady, often said of machines and music: *internetul e lent*. **Moale** has just two forms: *moale* for both genders in the singular, *moi* in the plural.

### Awful and useful

**Groaznic** is built on *groaza* (terror), but in everyday speech it just means *awful*. **Folositor** comes from *a folosi* (to use), and means the same as *util*.
