For general parts of the day, Portuguese uses the preposition de. You will say de manhã (in the morning), de tarde (in the afternoon), and de noite (at night). You only use à or às (from your current lesson) for specific clock times, not general parts of the day.
Isn't trabalho a noun meaning 'a job'?

Yes, absolutely! Because the verb ends in -o (trabalho), it already tells the listener that 'I' am the one doing the working. Native speakers leave out subject pronouns like eu (I) and tu (you) all the time.
