Como is a question word that means "how". Here, it is used to ask about the method or way of doing something, specifically asking what method of payment the person wants to use (like cash or card).

Why isn't there a word for "do" in the Portuguese sentence?

English uses helper verbs like "do" to form questions, as in "How do you want...". Portuguese does not use these helper words. You simply place the question word (como) directly before the verb (queres).
