Questions & Answers about Musisz poinformować wszystkich, gdzie są balony i dekoracje.
Why is it wszystkich here instead of wszyscy?
wszystkich is the Accusative (direct object) form of wszyscy (everyone). Because everyone is the direct object receiving the action of the verb poinformować (to inform), it must take the Accusative case.
Why do we use the perfective verb poinformować instead of the imperfective informować?
We use the perfective form because the focus is on the completed action and its result: the people successfully receiving the information. The imperfective informować would suggest a continuous, ongoing, or repeated process of informing them, which does not fit a simple one-time instruction.
Why are balony and dekoracje in the Nominative case here?
They are the grammatical subjects of the second half of the sentence ('where the balloons and decorations are'). The verb in this specific clause is są (are), and sentence subjects always take the Nominative case.
In English, we do not put a comma before 'where' in this sentence. Why is there one before gdzie in Polish?
Polish has strict punctuation rules requiring you to almost always place a comma between two clauses (parts of a sentence that each have their own verb). Here, the comma separates the first clause containing musisz from the second clause containing są.
