Why do we use le instead of la for 'her'?
In Italian, the verb parlare (to talk) takes an indirect object because you talk 'to' someone. We use la for a direct object (like 'I see her'), but we use le for an indirect object ('to her').
Why is Le at the beginning of the sentence?
In Italian, short object pronouns like mi, ti, and le almost always go right before the conjugated verb. So instead of placing 'to her' at the end like in English, Italian arranges it as 'To her I talk' (Le parlo).
Could Le parlo also mean 'I talk to you' (formal)?
