Questions & Answers about Parliamo del nostro amore.
Parliamo is the 1st person plural form of the verb parlare (to speak / to talk) in the present indicative.
So grammatically, it means we speak or we talk.
- parlo = I speak
- parli = you speak
- parla = he/she speaks
- parliamo = we speak
- parlate = you all speak
- parlano = they speak
Because Italian often omits subject pronouns when they are clear from the verb form.
The ending -iamo already tells you the subject is we, so noi is not necessary.
- Parliamo del nostro amore = we talk about our love
- Noi parliamo del nostro amore = same idea, but noi adds emphasis or contrast
So Italian is a pro-drop language: the verb ending often gives enough information by itself.
