Usages of αφήνω

• Πάω να πατήσω παύση, αλλά η φίλη μου λέει να την αφήσω, γιατί η καλύτερη σκηνή έρχεται στη συνέχεια.: I go to press pause, but my friend tells me to leave it because the best scene is coming next.
• Αφήνω τα κλειδιά μου στο τραπέζι όταν μπαίνω στο σπίτι.: I leave my keys on the table when I enter the house.
• Η δασκάλα μας λέει ότι είναι σημαντικό να ξέρουμε τα δικαιώματά μας, εκτός αν προτιμάμε να τα αφήνουμε όλα στους άλλους.: Our teacher tells us that it is important to know our rights, unless we prefer to leave everything to others.

• Άφησα το δίπλωμά μου στο άλλο μπουφάν και έπρεπε να γυρίσω σπίτι.: I left my driver’s license in the other jacket and had to go back home.
