Questions & Answers about اگر به اداره بروید، فرستنده را آنجا خواهید دید.
Why do we use beravid here instead of the normal present tense miravid?
In Farsi, the "if" clause of a first conditional sentence uses agar (if) followed by the present subjunctive. We use the subjunctive beravid (that you go) because going to the office is a hypothetical possibility here, not a stated fact.
How is the future tense khāhid did formed in the second half of the sentence?
The result of going to the office happens in the future, so we use the future tense. It is built using the conjugated helper verb khāstan (to want/will) — which here is khāhid for "you" — followed by the short infinitive of the main verb, did (to see).
Why is the word rā placed right after ferestande?
rā is the specific direct object marker. Because "the sender" (ferestande) is the specific person receiving the action of being seen, it needs rā to clearly show its role in the sentence.
I recognize the start of ferestande. Is it related to a verb?
Yes! It comes from the verb ferestādan (to send). In Farsi, you can add the suffix -ande (meaning the "doer" of an action) to a verb's present stem to make a noun. The present stem is ferest-, so ferestande means "sender".
