Questions & Answers about فروشنده باید قیمتها را بنویسد.
How is the word forooshandeh (seller) formed?
It comes from the verb forookhtan (to sell). By taking the present stem, foroosh, and adding the suffix -andeh, we create a noun for the person doing the action.
Why does the verb benevisad (write) start with be-?
Because it follows bayad (must). In Farsi, when using a modal verb like must, want, or can, the main verb that comes after it goes into the subjunctive form. This usually means adding the prefix be- to the present stem.
What is the infinitive form of the verb benevisad?
The infinitive is neveshtan (to write). Its present stem is nevis. To make the subjunctive form for he, she, or it, we add the prefix be- and the third-person singular ending -ad, giving us benevisad.
Why do we need the word ra after qeymat-ha (prices)?
The word ra marks the specific, definite direct object of a sentence. Since the seller must write THE prices (rather than just any prices), we add ra right after the plural noun qeymat-ha.
