### Connecting Actions to Results

To explain how an action leads to a specific outcome, Farsi uses the conjunction **به‌طوری‌که** (in such a way that / so that).

When you are describing a factual result or the actual manner in which something is done, the verb that follows **به‌طوری‌که** takes the standard **indicative** mood. This is common when talking about the physical properties of a design or building:

You can use this same structure to explain how elements like sunlight (**آفتاب**) interact with spaces. When the result is an objective fact—like a room becoming bright—keep using the indicative:

### Intended Results and the Subjunctive

Sometimes you want to describe an action done with a specific *intention* or *purpose* in mind. When **به‌طوری‌که** means "so that [an intended outcome happens]", the result is not yet a guaranteed fact. In this case, the verb following **به‌طوری‌که** must take the **subjunctive** mood.

Notice how the final verb in the next example is in the subjunctive, highlighting the architect's goal rather than a simple fact:
