Questions & Answers about Kupit ćemo po jedan bežični pisač za svaki ured.
How exactly does po change the meaning of jedan bežični pisač?
The word po acts as a distributive marker here, meaning 'each' or 'apiece.' It shows that instead of buying just one printer overall, they are buying 'one each' for every office.
Why do the direct object bežični pisač and the phrase za svaki ured look like they are in the nominative case?
They are actually in the accusative case. Because pisač (printer) and ured (office) are inanimate masculine nouns, their accusative forms are exactly the same as their nominative forms.
How is the adjective bežični (wireless) formed?
It is built from the preposition bez (without) and the noun žica (wire). When combined with the adjective suffix -ni, natural sound changes blend the consonants together to create bežični.
Why is the final 'i' missing from the verb Kupit?
When forming the Croatian future tense, if the auxiliary verb (like ćemo) comes directly after an infinitive that ends in -ti, the final i is dropped. If the word order were reversed, you would use the full infinitive: Mi ćemo kupiti.
