Wireless Printers

The word for a printer is pisač, and the adjective for wireless is bežičan. To express "one of each" or "one per", use the phrase po jedan. Use the conjunction tako da (so, so that) to explain results or consequences.

This wireless printer is better, so we all use it.
Ovaj bežični pisač je bolji, tako da ga svi koristimo.
We will buy one wireless printer each for every office.
Kupit ćemo po jedan bežični pisač za svaki ured.

Printing and Paper Jams

To talk about printing a specific document, use the verb isprintati.

I want to print the contract, so I will bring a new toner.
Želim isprintati ugovor, tako da ću donijeti novi toner.

If the paper gets jammed, use the reflexive verb zaglaviti se (to jam). A gumb is a button.

The paper got jammed in the printer, so I cannot print the letter.
Papir se zaglavio u pisaču, tako da ne mogu isprintati pismo.
He clicked on the red button, but the paper jammed again.
Kliknuo je na crveni gumb, ali se papir opet zaglavio.

Ink and Cartridges

An ink cartridge is called a spremnik za tintu. To describe a difference in price, use za (by) followed by the amount.

The ink cartridge is more expensive by ten euros.
Spremnik za tintu je skuplji za deset eura.

Lacking or running out of something takes the genitive case, as in crne tinte (black ink). If you need help, you can call a serviser (technician).

We don't have black ink, so we urgently need a technician.
Nemamo crne tinte, pa nam hitno treba serviser.
The technician will bring one cartridge and toner each to everyone.
Serviser će donijeti po jedan spremnik i toner svima.

Double-Sided Printing

Use the adjective obostran for double-sided copies or documents.

I need a double-sided copy, so I will click this button.
Treba mi obostrana kopija, tako da ću kliknuti ovaj gumb.
You will keep the double-sided documents only for yourself.
Zadržat ćeš obostrane dokumente samo za sebe.
