Questions & Answers about Eski günleri ananlar, yarın sabah mutlu uyanıyor olacak.
How is the future continuous tense formed in uyanıyor olacak?
The future continuous tense combines two verb forms. First, the main verb uyanmak (to wake up) takes the present continuous suffix to become uyanıyor (waking up). Then, the auxiliary verb olmak (to be) takes the future suffix, becoming olacak (will be). Together, they mean 'will be waking up'.
How does the word ananlar translate to 'those who remember'?
It uses the subject participle suffix -an, which turns a verb into a noun or adjective meaning 'the one who does the action'. The verb anmak means 'to remember' or 'to commemorate'. Adding -an makes it anan (the one who remembers), and the plural suffix -lar makes it 'those who remember'.
Why does günler have the accusative suffix -i (günleri) in this sentence?
Even though ananlar acts as a noun here, it is built from the transitive verb anmak, which still requires a direct object. Because 'the old days' are a specific direct object being remembered, eski günler takes the accusative case to become eski günleri.
Since the subject ananlar is plural, why doesn't the verb have a plural suffix (olacaklar)?
