Learn Turkish: Hazır ol ve beni ara.

Hazır is an adjective meaning ready. To tell someone to be an adjective in Turkish, you must use the command form of the verb olmak (to be or to become). We are talking to one person informally here, so we just use the bare root word, ol.

Why are ol and ara just short words without any verb endings?

In Turkish, the most basic form of a verb is its root. When you take a dictionary verb like aramak (to call) and drop the -mak or -mek part, you are left with the root ara. This root is used to give a direct command to a single person informally.

Why is it beni instead of bana or ben?

The verb aramak (to call) takes a direct object, which is the person receiving the action. In Turkish, direct objects need the accusative case ending. So, the base word for I (ben) adds an i to become beni (me), showing exactly who is being called.

Doesn't the verb aramak usually mean to look for or to search?

Yes, it does! However, it is also the standard verb used for calling someone on the phone. The situation usually makes it very clear which meaning is intended. In this sentence, telling someone to call me makes the most logical sense.
