### First-Person Intentions (Let me / I will)

The first-person singular optative mood is used to express your intention to do something, volunteer for a task, or offer help. In English, it roughly translates to "Let me [do it]" or "I'll [do it]".

To form this, add the suffix **-ayım** or **-eyim** to the verb stem, following two-way vowel harmony. If the verb stem ends in a vowel, use the buffer letter **y** before the suffix (**-yayım** or **-yeyim**).

### Offering Help (Shall I?)

By turning this form into a question, you can offer your services or check if someone wants you to carry out a task. This translates to "Shall I...?" or "Should I...?".

To form the question, simply add the question particle **mı** or **mi** as a separate word after the verb.
