Why is 900 novecientos and not nuevecientos?
In Spanish, the number nine is nueve, but the prefix for 900 changes slightly to nove-. So instead of nuevecientos, it becomes novecientos. It is one of the few irregular hundred numbers you just have to memorize, along with 500 (quinientos) and 700 (setecientos).
Why does it say mil pesos instead of un mil pesos for one thousand?
