Questions & Answers about ¿Es interesante la película?
Why is the word order basically "Is interesting the movie?"
Could I just ask ¿La película es interesante? instead?
Absolutely. You don't have to change the word order to ask a yes/no question in Spanish. You can just use the normal statement order and raise the pitch of your voice at the end. Both are perfectly natural ways to ask.
I've learned that adjectives come after nouns in Spanish. Why isn't it ¿Es la película interesante?
¿Es la película interesante? is also perfectly fine! When making a question by putting the verb first, Spanish gives you options. You can put the subject right after the verb (¿Es la película interesante?) or you can put it at the very end (¿Es interesante la película?). They mean exactly the same thing.
Since la película is feminine, why doesn't the adjective change to interesanta?
