Questions & Answers about Nosotros tenemos tu llave.
Why is it "tu" instead of "tus", since the word "we" is plural?
In Spanish, possessive adjectives like tu (your) match the thing being owned, not the owner. Even though "we" have it, there is only one key (llave). Because the key is singular, we use the singular tu. If we had multiple keys, it would be tus llaves.
Does "tu" change because "llave" is a feminine word?
Why doesn't "tu" have an accent mark over the "u" in this sentence?
The word tu without an accent means "your". If you write it with an accent (tú), it becomes the subject pronoun "you", as in tú tienes (you have). The accent mark is the only way to tell these two words apart in writing!
Is the word "nosotros" required here?
