How does хотя work here? Do I need to change the word order when using it?
Хотя translates to "although" or "even though." It sets up a contrast between the two halves of your sentence. The great news is that it doesn't force any tricky word order changes! You just put хотя at the beginning of the clause, use standard word order, and separate the two ideas with a comma.
