Întrucât (inasmuch as, since) does the job of deoarece in formal and written Romanian: notices, official letters, reports. It opens a clause, and that clause can come first.
Pointing to the result
Beside deci, de aceea and prin urmare, three more connectors introduce a result:

Din această cauză (for this reason) points back to a cause just named. Motiv pentru care (which is why) never starts a sentence: it hangs on the clause before it.
Prepositions with the genitive or dative
Like în urma and în scopul, four of these end in a noun with its article (or in a), so they take the genitive. Grație (thanks to) works like datorită: it takes the dative, and it is the formal, written choice. Genitive and dative share their endings, so all five look alike.
