### Ordering Events

**A seguir** is *next / right after* — on its own (*A seguir, vamos ao museu*) or with *a* (*a seguir ao jantar*). The adjective pair **seguinte** / **anterior** orders things from a viewpoint in the past or future: *no dia seguinte* (the NEXT day), *a semana anterior* (the week BEFORE).
