Il tuo numero di telefono è qui.

Questions & Answers about Il tuo numero di telefono è qui.

Why is it il tuo numero and not just tuo numero?
In Italian, you almost always need a definite article (like il or la) before a possessive word. While in English we just say "your number", in Italian you literally say "the your number" (il tuo numero).
Why is it il tuo instead of la tua? Does it depend on who I am talking to?
Possessive adjectives in Italian agree with the thing being owned, not the owner! Since numero is a masculine singular noun, you must use the masculine singular form il tuo, regardless of whether the person you are talking to is male or female.
Why do we say numero di telefono instead of telefono numero?
Italian doesn't usually stack nouns together like English does (as in "phone number"). Instead, it uses the word di (of) to connect them. So, you literally say "number of phone" (numero di telefono).
Why does è have an accent mark on it?
The accent mark is very important here! It shows that è means "is" (from the verb essere, to be). Without the accent mark, e simply means "and".
