Why use þau for "they" instead of þeir or þær?
Þau is the neuter plural form of "they". In Icelandic, you use þau when talking about a mixed group of males and females, or a group of grammatically neuter nouns. If the group was exclusively male, you would use þeir, and if exclusively female, þær.
Does the verb eru change if we use þeir or þær instead?

Why is the adjective veik here? Isn't that the feminine singular form?
