Usages of nara

• 軽かるい 荷物にもつ なら 階段かいだん で 運はこべます。: If the luggage is light, I can carry it by the stairs.
• 雨あめ なら、 家いえ で 映画えいが を 見みます。: If it’s rainy, I watch movies at home.
• 明日あした の 会議かいぎ に 来こられる なら、 私わたし に 電話でんわして ください。: If you can come to tomorrow’s meeting, please call me.
• 急行きゅうこう が 満員まにん なら、 広場ひろば まで 歩あるけば いい と 思おもう。: If the express is full, I think it’s fine to walk to the plaza.
• 願ねがい が ある なら、 神社じんじゃ に 行いきましょう。: If you have a wish, let’s go to the shrine.
• 電気代でんきだい が 高たかい なら、 省しょうエネ家電かでん に 替かえた ほう が いい。: If your electricity bill is high, you’d better switch to energy-saving appliances.
• 問題もんだい が 深刻しんこく なら、 早はやく 対策たいさく を 考かんがえます。: If the problem is serious, I will think of measures quickly.
• そちら から こちら に 来くるの は 無理むり なら、 電話でんわ で 話はなそう。: If coming here from there is impossible, let’s talk on the phone.

• 生放送なまほうそう なら 緊張きんちょう も 大おおきい はず です が、 女優じょゆうたち は 最後さいご まで 笑顔えがお で 演技えんぎ を 続つづけて いました。: In a live broadcast the nerves must be intense, but the actresses kept acting with smiles until the end.
