Usages of koma

• Við komum seint vegna mikillar umferðar.: We arrive late because of heavy traffic.
• Hún setur ruslapokann út áður en pósturinn kemur.: She puts the trash bag outside before the mail arrives.
• Ég tilkynni þér strax ef ég kem seint.: I will notify you immediately if I arrive late.
• Láttu mig vita ef þú kemur seint.: Let me know if you arrive late.
• Gestgjafinn býður öllum kaffi, te, vatn og eplasafa, og við skálum þegar afmælisbarnið kemur.: The host offers everyone coffee, tea, water, and apple juice, and we make a toast when the birthday person arrives.
• Þegar afmælisbarnið kemur, segjum við: „Til hamingju!“: When the birthday person arrives, we say: “Happy birthday!”
• Hún er komin í vinnuna, en hún kemst ekki inn af því að hún gleymdi kortinu sínu.: She has arrived at work, but she cannot get in because she forgot her card.
