Why does "yours" translate to le vôtre with a le in front of it?
In French, possessive pronouns (words that replace "my thing", "your thing", etc.) always need a definite article like le, la, or les. Here, le vôtre replaces a masculine singular noun that was mentioned earlier, like le sac (the bag).
Why is there an accent on the "o" in vôtre?
