Questions & Answers about این الگوریتم آنقدر پیشرفته است که برقآسا کار میکند.
How does the suffix -âsâ change the meaning of برق in this sentence?
The noun برق means "lightning" (or "electricity"). By adding the suffix -âsâ, which denotes resemblance or manner, it becomes the adverb برقآسا meaning "like lightning" or "lightning-fast". In this sentence, it describes exactly how the algorithm operates.
Since -vâr and -mânand also mean "like" or "similar to", could I say برقوار or برقمانند instead?
While structurally similar, برقآسا is a fixed, highly common expression in Farsi. The suffix -âsâ is frequently paired with dramatic natural forces to create vivid descriptions, such as سیلآسا (torrential, like a flood) or معجزهآسا (miraculous). Swapping it for -vâr or -mânand here would sound unnatural to a native speaker.
What role do آنقدر and که play together in this sentence?
They form the Farsi equivalent of the "so [adjective] that..." structure. آنقدر (literally "that much" or "to that extent") acts as an intensifier for the adjective پیشرفته (advanced), and که introduces the result clause explaining the consequence of it being so advanced.
I know پیش means "before" or "in front". How is the word پیشرفته formed to mean "advanced"?
