او هم به پارک می‌رود.

From Lesson 54:Me too (ham)·Farsi

Questions & Answers about او هم به پارک می‌رود.

The translation says 'He', but could او also mean 'She'?
Yes! Farsi pronouns are gender-neutral. او can mean 'he' or 'she' depending on the context. Here, we translated it as 'he', but without more context, 'She is going to the park too' is equally correct.
Why is هم (too/also) right after the subject instead of at the end of the sentence?
In Farsi, هم usually comes right after the word it emphasizes. Because we want to say 'He also...' or 'He is going too,' it sits directly after او.
I learned the verb 'to go' is رفتن, so why does this use رو in می‌رود?
Farsi verbs have two different stems: one for the past and one for the present. The present stem for رفتن is رو (rav). To make it present tense, we add the prefix می and the third-person singular ending ـَد (ad), giving us می‌رود.
Does می‌رود mean 'goes' or 'is going'?
It can mean both! Farsi uses this standard present tense form for both habitual actions ('he goes') and actions happening right now ('he is going'). You figure out which one it is based on the context.
