Questions & Answers about اطلاعات گزارش شما کاملاً نادرست است.
How does the prefix nâ- change the meaning of dorost in this sentence?
The prefix nâ- is a negative marker that turns an adjective into its opposite, much like 'in-' or 'un-' in English. Here, it attaches to dorost (correct) to make nâdorost (incorrect).
I see a special symbol over the last letter of kâmelan (کاملاً). What does that do?
That symbol is an Arabic marker called tanwin, which adds an '-an' sound to the end of the word. In Farsi, this is often added to adjectives to turn them into adverbs. Here, it changes kâmel (complete) into kâmelan (completely).
How does Farsi connect the ideas of 'information', 'report', and 'your' in this sentence without using prepositions?
It uses the ezafe, which is an unwritten '-e' sound connecting words to show possession or description. The phrase is pronounced ettelâ'ât-e gozâresh-e shomâ, literally meaning 'information of report of you'.
The word ettelâ'ât (اطلاعات) is plural. Why does the sentence use the singular verb ast (است)?
While ettelâ'ât is indeed plural, Farsi grammar dictates that non-human plural subjects usually take a singular verb. Because 'information' is an inanimate concept, the singular verb ast (is) is used instead of a plural verb.
