Satisfacer means "to satisfy." It is one of Spanish's stranger verbs because it conjugates almost exactly like hacer — with a few twists. Historically it's built from satis + facer (the old form of hacer), and it preserves every hacer-style irregularity: the g in satisfago, the irregular preterite satisfice, the future stem satisfar-, and the participle satisfecho.
The only form where satisfacer departs from hacer is in the tú imperative, where both satisfaz and satisface are accepted (unlike hacer, which takes only haz).
Present Indicative
| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisfago |
| tú | satisfaces |
| él / ella / usted | satisface |
| nosotros / nosotras | satisfacemos |
| ellos / ellas / ustedes | satisfacen |
Preterite
| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisfice |
| tú | satisficiste |
| él / ella / usted | satisfizo |
| nosotros / nosotras | satisficimos |
| ellos / ellas / ustedes | satisficieron |
Note the irregular i stem (satisfic-) and the z in satisfizo, exactly mirroring hacer's hice / hizo.
La comida satisfizo a todos los invitados.
The food satisfied all the guests.
Imperfect
| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisfacía |
| tú | satisfacías |
| él / ella / usted | satisfacía |

The imperfect is fully regular.

That job no longer satisfied me.

| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisfaré |
| tú | satisfarás |
| él / ella / usted | satisfará |
| nosotros / nosotras | satisfaremos |
| ellos / ellas / ustedes | satisfarán |
The future stem is satisfar-, parallel to haré / harás from hacer.

| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisfaría |
| tú | satisfarías |
| él / ella / usted | satisfaría |
| nosotros / nosotras | satisfaríamos |
| ellos / ellas / ustedes | satisfarían |
Nada satisfaría más a mi abuela que vernos.
Nothing would satisfy my grandmother more than seeing us.
Present Subjunctive
| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisfaga |
| tú | satisfagas |
| él / ella / usted | satisfaga |
| nosotros / nosotras | satisfagamos |
| ellos / ellas / ustedes | satisfagan |

Imperfect Subjunctive (-ra forms)
| Subject | Form |
|---|---|
| yo | satisficiera |
| tú | satisficieras |
| él / ella / usted | satisficiera |
| nosotros / nosotras | satisficiéramos |
| ellos / ellas / ustedes | satisficieran |
Imperative
| Person | Form |
|---|---|
| tú (affirmative) | satisfaz / satisface |
| tú (negative) | no satisfagas |
| usted | satisfaga |
| nosotros | satisfagamos |
| ustedes | satisfagan |
Both satisfaz and satisface are accepted for the affirmative tú imperative, though satisface is more common in everyday Latin American speech.
