Why is the suffix for "our" just -miz instead of -imiz in projemiz?
The root word is proje (project), which ends in a vowel. When a word ends in a vowel, we drop the first vowel of the possessive suffix so we don't have two vowels right next to each other. Instead of proje-imiz, it simply becomes projemiz.
Do I need to include the word bizim before projemiz?
You can, but you don't have to! Because the suffix -miz already clearly means "our", Turkish speakers usually drop the word bizim entirely unless they want to add strong emphasis (like saying "Our project, not theirs").
The dictionary says "to start" is başlamak. Why is it spelled başlıyor here instead of başlayor?
This happens because of a special spelling rule with the present tense suffix -yor. When a verb root ends in a wide vowel like a or e (such as başla-), that vowel "narrows" into ı, i, u, or ü before adding -yor. Because of vowel harmony, the a changes to an ı, giving us başlıyor.
