Just like in English, you can use the present continuous tense (-yor) to talk about fixed plans in the near future. Simply pair a present continuous verb with a future time word.
Common future time expressions include yarın (tomorrow), gelecek hafta (next week), and sonra (later).
| She is coming tomorrow. | O yarın geliyor. |
| We are meeting at the park tomorrow evening. | Yarın akşam parkta buluşuyoruz. |
| We are staying at the hotel next week. | Gelecek hafta otelde kalıyoruz. |
To say something is happening in a certain number of days, use sonra after the timeframe (for example, üç gün sonra means "in three days").
| The airplane is taking off in three days. | Uçak üç gün sonra kalkıyor. |
Negatives and Questions
The same pattern applies to negatives and questions about future plans. Just use the negative or question form of the present continuous.
| I am not working next week. | Gelecek hafta çalışmıyorum. |
| Where are we meeting tomorrow morning? | Yarın sabah nerede buluşuyoruz? |
