Why is จะ used here if the translation says "planning to build" instead of "will build"?
In Thai, จะ shows that an action hasn't happened yet. After a verb like วางแผน (to plan), placing จะ right before the next verb (สร้าง, to build) connects the plan to the future action. Here, it feels a lot like the English word "to" when expressing a goal!
Could I leave out จะ and just say วางแผน สร้าง?
While people might understand you, using จะ is much more natural in Thai. Because a plan is about the future, จะ acts as a necessary bridge that highlights your intention to do the action later.
The English translation says "She", but I thought เขา meant "He"?
เขา is actually a gender-neutral pronoun that can mean "he", "she", or "they". The context of the conversation usually makes it clear who is being talked about. Note that the polite particle ค่ะ at the end only tells us that the speaker is female, not the person being discussed!
Why is it written as ตึก ใหม่ instead of ใหม่ ตึก?
This is a great reminder of Thai word order! Describing words (adjectives) always come directly after the noun they describe. So, "new building" must be written as ตึก (building) followed by ใหม่ (new).
