Natural consequence (ย่อม)

Natural Consequences with ย่อม

To express a universal truth, a logical outcome, or state that something is "inevitably" or "naturally" bound to happen, use the modal word ย่อม. You will often hear this in proverbs, words of wisdom, or when discussing the inescapable laws of nature and time.

Just like other modals, ย่อม is placed directly before the main verb.

Cause, Effect, and Human Nature

This modal is particularly useful when discussing human psychology, actions, and their natural consequences. It establishes a firm, expected link between a situation and its logical result.

Unavoidable Outcomes

You can also use ย่อม alongside complex sentences and conditional phrases to emphasize that a result is completely inescapable, regardless of the circumstances or attempts to prevent it.
