Final outcomes (ในที่สุด... ก็...)

Reaching the summit of a grueling rock climbing expedition requires pushing past your physical limits.

When you finally reach the end of an exhausting journey or overcome a major obstacle, use the ในที่สุด... ก็... structure to state that an action finally happened in the end.

Place ในที่สุด at the beginning of the concluding clause, and put ก็ immediately before the action verb. The subject usually sits right between them.

This narrative structure is perfect for stating the final resolution of a long struggle. It frequently follows a setup clause describing the time, effort, or hardship it took to reach the goal.

Notice that if the subject is already established in the first clause, it can be dropped in the second. This allows ในที่สุด and ก็ to sit right next to each other before the final verb.

No matter how steep the climb, pushing through to the end makes the victory that much sweeter.
