Strict Rules with ห้าม ... เด็ดขาด

When you need to state a zero-tolerance policy or a strict prohibition, use the structure ห้าม followed by the action, and end the clause with เด็ดขาด.

• ห้าม means "to forbid" or "do not"
• เด็ดขาด means "absolutely" or "strictly"

This structure is heavily used for facility rules, such as restricting อาวุธ (weapons) and วัตถุไวไฟ (flammable objects).

Restricted Access and Security

You will frequently see these absolute prohibitions applied to a เขตหวงห้าม (restricted area). Often, a รปภ. (security guard) is tasked with enforcing these policies.

Physical security protocols usually require a บัตรผ่าน (access badge) and strictly forbid individuals from doing things โดยพลการ (without permission).

Biometrics and High-Tech Facilities

Modern security protocols might also require you to scan your ลายนิ้วมือ (fingerprint) or ม่านตา (iris) before entering secured zones.

These strict regulations also apply to sensitive environments like a ห้องปฏิบัติการ (laboratory), or to operating devices like a โดรน (drone) in protected airspaces.
