Why is jo used here instead of ja?
The first person makes a negative statement by using inget (no). In Swedish, when you want to say yes to contradict a negative statement or question, you must use jo instead of ja. Here, the second person is using it to insist that they do indeed have a problem.
Why is it inget problem and not inga problem or ingen problem?
The word problem is an ett word (ett problem). Because it is used in the singular here to mean no problem, we use the ett form of the word for no, which is inget. If it were plural (no problems), you would use inga problem.
Is the verb missförstår built the same way as in English?
Yes! Just like in English, you simply add the prefix miss- to the base verb förstår (understand) to create missförstår (misunderstand).
How do we know to add -en to make situationen?
Words borrowed into Swedish that end in -tion, like en situation, are almost always en words. To make it definite (the situation), you just add the standard en word suffix -en.
