Why do we use mer komplicerad instead of adding an ending like -are?
In Swedish, short adjectives usually get the ending -are (like varmare for warmer). However, longer adjectives and words ending in -ad (like komplicerad) use mer (more) and mest (most) instead to sound more natural.
