Poder (to be able to / can) has an irregular stem in the future tense. Usually, you add future endings to the full infinitive verb. But for poder, you drop the "e" to get the stem podr-. Then, you add the standard tú future ending -ás, giving us podrás.

Why does this translate to "will be able to"?

The verb poder means "to be able to" or "can". In English, "can" doesn't have a future tense (we can't say "will can"). So, when we put poder in the future tense as podrás, we translate it to "you will be able to".

Why is conectar left in its infinitive form?
