Questions & Answers about По мере того как погода изменяется, мы должны привыкать и искать всякие удобные варианты.
Why is всякие used here instead of любые?
In this context, всякие means "all sorts of" or "various." The speaker is emphasizing the variety of options we need to look for. If we used любые, it would mean "absolutely any options" (meaning it does not matter which ones), which shifts the nuance from actively looking for a variety of solutions to just taking whichever one comes along.
How does the phrase По мере того как work in this sentence?
По мере того как is a compound conjunction that means "as" or "in proportion to." It specifically links two parallel, ongoing processes. Here, it shows that our adaptation must happen gradually and continuously alongside the changing of the weather.
Why do we use the imperfective verbs привыкать and искать here?
We use the imperfective aspect because the first part of the sentence sets up a continuous, ongoing condition with the weather changing (изменяется). Therefore, the actions of adapting (привыкать) and looking for options (искать) must also be ongoing, continuous processes rather than single, completed events.
What case is всякие удобные варианты in, and why?
It is in the accusative case because it acts as the direct object of the verb искать (to look for). For inanimate plural nouns like варианты, the accusative case endings are identical to the nominative case endings.
