### Plural Negative Commands

When giving a negative command to a group of people (or to a single person formally), Romanian keeps things simple. Unlike the singular negative command which requires the bare infinitive, the plural negative command simply places **nu** before the regular second-person plural form of the verb.

### Direct Object Pronouns

When replacing a noun with a direct object pronoun (like "it" or "them"), the short-form pronoun goes between **nu** and the verb. 

If the pronoun begins with a vowel, like **îl** (masculine/neuter singular "it"), it attaches directly to **nu** with a hyphen to become **nu-l**. If the pronoun begins with a consonant, like **le** (feminine/neuter plural "them"), it stands alone as a separate word.
