	All verbs in <strong>Group 2</strong> end in <strong>る</strong>.
	Note that not all verbs ending in <strong>る</strong> are in Group  2; as we have seen <strong><ruby>入hai</ruby>る</strong> belongs in <strong>Group 1</strong> even though it ends in <strong>る</strong>.

<p>
	Verbs in Group 2 are easily transformed into their long form using the following two steps:
</p>

<ol>
	<li>Remove <strong>る</strong> from the end of the verb to obtain the <strong>stem</strong>.</li>
	<li>Attach the <strong>ます</strong> ending to the stem.</li>
</ol>
